Discernment Is Self-Respect

Day 62:

When asking God for spiritual maturity, it usually comes with discernment. Some people confuse discernment for suspicion but really it is a sign of wisdom and trust in God. Once you understand that you don't own everyone access, explanations, or emotional investment, you begin to lean on the example Christ gave us. He loved many but befriended 12.

God teaches discernment to protect your time, energy, and spirit. You are allowed to pause before responding. You are allowed to observe patterns and say no without guilt.

Discernment honors what God is building in you.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank you for the strength to establish boundaries and the understanding that keeps them from turning into walls. Please give me clarity before giving access today and everyday.

Can you name a time when you didn't have as much discernment as you have now?
