Today was quite an ordinary day. By ordinary, I mean all my limbs were functioning as they should, my mind was working well, and I completed my daily tasks effortlessly. I woke up, got out of bed, made my bed without a second thought. I feel fortunate.
It's difficult to appreciate your blessings if you don't take time to reflect on the numerous tasks accomplished effortlessly. That's what I'm doing now—taking a moment to recognize how fortunate I am. How favored, how God has led me through this day and will continue to guide me tomorrow, just as He has since the day I was born.
Not everyone can claim that. Not everyone has enjoyed good health throughout their life. Not everyone has been able to walk, run, swim, and dance all in a single day. It's not because they didn't want to, but because they physically couldn't. So tonight, let this serve as your reminder to thank God. Even if nothing extraordinary occurred today, or if that prayer you sent up today remains unanswered, thank our King anyhow. He is present, even in the ordinary moments.

PS. I completely understand that having an ordinary life is a sacrifice I'm willing to make for the people around me to have extraordinary lives.
